Aaron Sorkin all set to direct new poker film, reports

Aaron Sorkin, the Oscar-winning screenwriter, is all set to make his first film as a director with Molly’s Game, a movie regarding the life of ex high-stakes organizer Molly Bloom. The news came earlier via a leading website. Aaron was named as the screenwriter for the movie adaptation of Molly’s memoir back in the year 2014, but he now would also be the director of the film.

Molly hosted theunderground poker matches for celebs as well as other high rollers before finally being charged in a spanning crackdown by federal government. Celebrities who played in Bloom-run games in Los Angeles or New York include Ben Affleck, Matt Damon and Leonardo DiCaprio.

Molly’s book “Molly’s Game: High Stakes, Hollywood’s Elite, Hotshot Bankers, My Life in the World of Underground Poker,” was released in the year 2014.

Molly was accused by the federal government for her part in the gambling gang that reportedly had connections to the Russian mob. She got probation and gave a fine back in the middle of 2014, when others, such as poker player Vadim Trincher, got prison time. Molly made $1 million from arranging the games, said the federal government.

She was a class skier once. She moved to Los Angeles once her athletic career was over and she found herself in the world of poker.
